I have a water fountain which I sat in front of a vase of 3 flowers. I shot this with my Nikon with a +3 filter with flash. In photoshop I cropped and contrast, and sharpened.

7 - No, this has to be an illusion. Good 'capture' either way. Criticism; maybe a fraction tighter crop at the top, still incorporating the balancing 'darkness', but just a little less, and, who knows how, but a fraction sharper on those 'drops', likely make this even better in my opinion. Back to see 'how/what', post challenge. Up to 7 from 6. edit:typo
Are they falling up? Either the picture is inverted, or more likely you should have used rear sync flash. Also, the shadow across the front of the flower is distracting. However, these shots are hard to take and I love the colors. - 8
Wow, that's a neat effect. OK, one question: is this done with first-curtain sync, or is it upside down, with second-curtain sync? It "feels" to me like the latter, though I imagine either is quite possible. Anyway, interesting -- the images in the drops (ignoring the blur) are awesome.
I think I would have liked it inverted - the blur would then make sense for me. But this is an excellent capture - not going to ask how many shots it took! 9 - good luck in the challenge!
