Ok, now I'm still quite the novice at photography. But, it says that the ISO was 100 and the shutter speed was 1 second. How is an ISO of 100 fast enough to perfectly expose a bullet that is traveling at somewhere near 2,000 feet per second? Second, how is it that, on the left side of the screen, the bullet stayed in one spot long enough for a perfect exposure, whereas on the rest of the screen it was just a blur? It's a cool picture; but I don't think it's really a stopped-motion picture of a bullet in flight.
This is not my image, but you could do such an image with those numbers. The bullet is frozen by a flash, the trail is left by available light. Here is a quick primer on photographing bullets in flight.

great capture on the bullet! The things in the shot other than the bullet look like they dould be a bit clearer, but i can only imagine how hard a shot like this is to get period. The trail of the bullet is a great touch.
Would love to know the details behind this one. It's unique compared to what the other entries. Perspective is great, would not have had as much 'punch' if taken from different angle, well.. maybe the other side of candle. ;-) And it even looks like 'bullet' is in focus. (Is it bullet or really really small pencil?) Very cool idea.
How you managed to do this, I can't guess. I just hope you didn't end up with too many bullets in your wall! ;) Truely amazing capture. Ya' got a 10 from me
Clever! The effect is convincing, though the composition and technicalities are a bit off. Specifically, it would help if the background were completely black, the candle was a little more upright and centered in the image, the candle holder was either more in focus or cropped-out entirely, and the flame was blowing in the direction of the bullet.
Awesome shot - im guessing the candle is really horizontal, the bullet is on a string and that is what is causing the trail, with the whole picture flipped 90 degrees CW? Hope there is an explaination in your image details area!
Validated?!? Ha. Some people have small imaginations. Nice effect. the best is the flame looking like it was "blown" by the bullet. I'll be interested in how you got the "path" to be so straight. That probably took a few attempts. 8
Technically a good shot, I feel that it goes away from the challenge a bit though, it should be the candlelight that creates the impact of the shot, not a strobe and bullet. Having said that I think its a great shot so 6.
