 The end of fun presents was a sure sign of adulthood, or of not being allowed to remain in childhood. Went for the old photo/sepia tone look because fathers receiving ties from their kids seems like such an age-old concept.

For the edit: levels, curves, softglow, curves, crop, levels, saturation, curves, saturation, old-photo, contrast, levels, curves, border, scale.

Great idea, poor lighting (could be the grayscale conversion). The lighting will keep this out of the top 10, but it really had potential.

The concept is perfect, as is the composition. I'm not crazy about the sepia & deckle edged look, though.

Good take on the theme. The test is, does it stand alone without the cation, most don't this does.
