I thought of this almost immediately after the challenge was announced. The relatives we were visiting for Thanksgiving have nice hardwood floors, so I brought some props along. I arranged the clothes on the floor and parked my three year old son in the doorway (he was just amazing at holding the pose). I spent about 5 minutes on the setup and took 8 shots. If only they were all this easy!
Processing was VERY minimal. Crop, clone out a few spots on the door and floor, and resize for web. That's it!

Hey!!!! Another blue one!!!!! I love to open the weekly update and to see scalvert under the picture!!!!! Justin is taller!!!! Very nice shot! Like always! Happy thanks given!!!!
I wondered if that was your little boy!!! This was just too dang cool!!! (and isn't it the truth!) My fiancee' and I were just talking about how it's hard to get *cough* quiet time without one of the kids knocking or saying "Mom or Troy"! :)
Congrats on another blue ribbon with a superb shot! (btw you just knocked me out of third place on the ytd ribbon leader board, its going to be a close race to the finish :-)
exceptional, as always, both in the story you are telling an dthe way your are presenting it. good thing that you got the blue here, since your cheater image expired off the front page... :)
Shannon, you just don't know when to quit! Congrats on a awesome shot, you got a 9 from me on this one. I just wish my kids were as into helping their good ole' Dad as your kids are with your photography. Great picture!
Yep... had this one pegged. Great job Shannon. I gave this a much higher score than the average you received, and had it picked as a winner. Congratulations on a well earned ribbon.
NOT FAIR!!!!!!!!!!!! Many congratulations! It was very close :)
Note: for those that might think I'm not happy for Shannon, not true. It's just that in a thread this week I said, "I'll be happy if I beat you." And he had to beat me. Bummer. :( :(
I pick this one for my favorite. Lots of lingerie shots, but you put a great twist on it. I like the low angle of the shot and the lighting coming through the door.
Not sure how this could be tied into being an adult since this is something that a child would most likely do. However, your photo is nicely composed and well thought out and I would hate to give you a low score. It still gets a 5 from me eventhough I am at a loss as to how this ties into the them of the challenge.
Aha! I like this for 2 reasons...
1 There's more clothes in this photo than in every other one done with the same idea...Most others I believe only include a bra/panties and that's it. This one has jeans, shoes and all the other stuff people wear!
2. There's an added element of complexity with the kid opening up the door.
Definitely a better thought out photo.
Perfect! The thought that went into the storyboard for this image is evident. 10
Back after reviewing all the photos in this challenge - this is my winner.
:D I know so many people who this has happened too. I think this shot captures the moment really well, great composition and a lovely innocent pose by the kid. 9.
