This is right next to Highway 580 in Livermore California. I drive on this freeway almost everyday. This is only about 30 minutes from San Francisco. I was born and raised in this area. The shot was taken at 6:00 AM to capture the shadows and early morning light. I used a circular polarizer for the first time. Hope you like the picture.

Challenge: I do believe that this is a pretty picture that nicely shows the countryside. Therefore, you have met the challenge well.
Composition: There is absolutely nothing that could be done differently with the composition here. The single hay bale in the front is nice. The shadow of what must be a tree to the right provides a nice contrast and adds to the picture. The sky is a beautiful blue, however, I still agree with my comment made during the challenge that it would be even better if you had some wispy clouds the day you took this picture. The rolling hills provide a nice backdrop to your picture.
Technical: Once again, I still agree with my comment made before. I think the picture might be just a tad on the bright side. I would like to see the colors "pop" out just a little bit more. The yellows and greens seem just a bit flat. Other than that, I would say that it was perfect. I'm not familar with circular polarizers, so I'm curious as to how it affected the scene.
It was also interesting to see the comments that you recieved concerning your border. As always, as border that differs from the plain black becomes a controversy. I happen to like the transparent border and disagree with those that said it distracts.
Overall: A very nice countryside picture. I stand true to the score that I gave it during the challenge. While it didn't bring out the "WOW" factor, it was nicely done. I looked at some of your other photos and am very impressed with your work. Look forward to seeing more.
I think I would have prefered more sunlight on the front of the bales. Nice capture of the distance. (border perhaps unnecessary here - would have given the imagination a nice continuation without.)
My only problem with this photo is its size. You should be able to upload a larger photo than this. Otherwise very nice. Maybe a little bright on the ground.
Very pretty countryside. I think you could have used a little more saturation to make the colors a little richer. Also, too bad you couldn't of had some whispy clouds to make the sky a little more interesting. 7 Good luck in the challenge.
