Image from the Blue Lagoon near Grindavik Iceland. This lagoon was formed after excess water was pumped into a lava field next to a thermal power station. Now used by thousands for bathing in what is believed to have healing powers for many skin ailments.

Many people have such love for "blue" images. This one satisfies this urge with great visual rewards. The coble stones dominate the foreground and then the eye moves slowly up swallowing the delicate beauty of the cloud reflection and then that magical fog that rises upwards to show off a lazy and easy moving cloud formation with a delicate blue sky. Then we follow the billow of smpke as it sweeps to the left... An image to gey lost in with no need for improvement. Bumping up.
What a beautiful photo. The subject and monochromatic scheme give it a very airy and ethereal feel. Nicely composed with good detail and focus throughout.... 8
I spent a week driving around Iceland, mainly eating in gas stations and sleeping in sleeping bags. Best photo trip of my life. We ended the trip with a relaxing day at the Blue Lagoon - heaven! Thanks for bringing back the memories and posting such a beautiful picture. Love the colors and the steam mingling with the sky.
