They have enclosures at the National Park where they breed the Bilby to increase the numbers. They also run night tours for the public as these animals are nocturnal. People are able to photograph these animals from outside the enclosure.
I was fortunate enough though to be taken into their sleeping quarters during the day. It was lit only with red lights. They woke the animals up for me to photograph which was difficult as I couldn't see anything through the viewfinder except a red hue.
They are beautiful and soft and you can see by the size of the mans hand that they really aren't that big.
