I took this picture at 7am in the North Georgia Mountains just as the sun had peaked over the trees. I shot it from a forth floor window of a dormatory at Berry College.

I like the shot but the flare from the sun is a bit too bright. sunrises are better shot in the other direction after the sun has actually risen above the horizon.
Great shot, beautiful colours, nice composition. Shame that the foreground trees aren't sharper. I don't like the rainbow flare effect from the sun. Is that a filter? 7
