 '"Trust"

As diamonds in the rough sparkle with grace,
her eyes will capture your attention.
She has endured the hand of man's disgrace,
the burden of grief goes without mention.

Now her ears perk-up at the sound of play,
she runs with a great joy for life.
Her new family and security will stay,
love and dignity, supplant fear and strife.

Hers days will be filled with a true devotion,
they will be long and robust.
For she has found a peaceful affection,
and still has the courage to trust.'

-Jeff Sasek 26.11.05

14.12.05 RIP sweet little Kahn......fly free. You have known such a short amount of happiness on this earth, but left a legacy of love.

The injuries suffered by this little dog had left her with a badly twisted jaw that allowed little movement, she couldn't open her mouth very far, couldn't chew or pant. As she has grown the twisting has got worse, less movement......she was beginning to have problems eating soft foods and drinking fluids, sadly a condition that was not fixable. A crisis occured with her lower teeth growing into a place where they created a great deal of pain. We all felt she had suffered enough.

The wonderful words written by Jeff and dona-k's 'Fortunate Stranger' have brought comfort to Kyra, Kahn's owner.....to us all.

Thankyou
sue.

I like this shot, but not sure about the title. He looks more as though you are trying to teach him a trick, and you are doing it yourself and he is unimpressed.

She's beautiful! Many years ago, I worked at an SPCA in the States. While working there, I also adopted a pup that was just like Kahn. It's good to know that Kahn now has the chance for a better life.
