...So I got my banjo out (the one with the ODD number of strings), took 60 shots of it and liked this one the best. Camera was set to Auto. Photoshop CS did the following:
Overall shadow highlight adustment
Auto contrast
Unsharp mask
Reduce to contest dimensions and file size.

I really like how the light is cast on the tree in the upper left hand corner. I think it allows for the banjo to be centered in the composition. I also like the country feel to the backdrop which makes me almost hear the stings being plucked. Good luck
