I wanted the broken face thingy to be the rest of the bell pepper, since the broken (not cut) face doesn't seem to fit in with the rest of the image.

Interesting subject and composition. Perhaps a bit macabre. Compositional good. Slight critique: the cut of the pepper could be more vertical, and the topline of the knife end precisly in the corner. Overall a great picture.
