 Concept: My idea was to take a slice of orange and backlight it to show the texture. I soon realized it needed a little help, so I added the glass of juice and the half orange. I put the half orange on an angle so that the light would go accross it to help show more texture.

Lighting was from one studio flash which was above and behind the subject.

Post processing: crop, curves adjustment layer, hue/saturation adjustment layer, USM.

The specs on the glass draw away from the picture, but i like the way the light shines throught the lemon.

The lighting is good. The compostion doesn't do anything for me, I think it's too spread out.

Placing of the glass and oranges seem a little unimaginative. Lighting is really neat thou. Overall nice image.
