 I put the lady bug in an orange candle. This particular lady bug was unable to close its wings and was unable to fly. Not sure what happened to it, but it made for some fun shots, since he didn't move around to much.

I don't have any photo lighting so I used a halogen lamp with a piece of looseleaf in front of it to reduce the harsh shadows.

Adjustments to the photo were cropping and a slight adjustment to the levels.

i love lady bugs. i think if you put the lady bug on a cooler backround it would make the lady bug stand out more. nice phot though.

I think you could do with a background that contrasts a little more to give it a little more oomph.

Interesting wing extension. Sharper would help, and color separation from the background might be better.
