This is magnificent Coolhar!! I'm new here and don't feel to sure on how to critique yet but I know a great shot when I see one! Too bad I missed the challenge voting, it would have been a 10!
GASP!!!!!! I missed this because I was so busy, I didn't even get to vote on this challenge!!! This is SPECTACULAR. In fact, it just went straight to my favorites folder. Congratulations on 12th place -- even tho if it had been me picking, it would have ribboned!
7 - Excellent capture. Criticism; especially for the Challenge, would like to have seen just a little more context/environment. If the nose were as sharp as the eyes/ears make this even better in my opinion, but I doubt you had much time. The fore 'bokeh'(?) type effect is very nice and soft and adds to the shot. Colors are nice. Not sure on the frame, works - especially to enhance the camouflage, but not sure it enhances the reindeer(?) as best as another color may have. Maybe slightly more space to the right, not sure.
Ok, this wins!! Best camo shot. So artfully done. The lighting is beautiful. You can see every hair on that fawn's coat!!! Just stunning. WOW 10 10 10 10
