Challenge:Black on Black (Classic Editing*) Camera:Sony DSC-P7 Location: My husband's chest, Chicago, IL Date: Jun 18, 2003 Aperture: f 2.8 ISO: 320 Shutter: 1/30 s Galleries:Abstract, Macro Date Uploaded: Jun 19, 2003
My husband's favorite old sweater. He's had it since grade school. Since I knit, I tend to examine garments and think, "Now, how could *I* do that?"
It probably says something about my lack of (a) patience, (b) studio equipment, and (c) imagination that this is the only idea that it occurred to me to shoot for this particular challenge.

there is a similar shot in this challenge of a feather which i left some comments on. basically, i think that you've chosen a subject that is very tonally flat, and it's not allowing any contrast to come into the image. it's not showing us any light, which is the essence of photography. 3.
If your number changed its because I came back through after reading and understanding more of how to do this and also I re-set my monitor. yours looks much better.8
I can barely make out a few pixels that are a TINY bit lighter than the black. Basically this is just a black box, as I see it. Not much impact visually for me!
I am gonna have to say that this is a touch on the dark side...and yes my monitor is calibrated once a month. I can make out the texture alright, but it all comes across almost to blah. 4
