I am a beginner. This is the first challenge i entered. I jus got a camera from my brother (Travis99) and i saw a landscape challenge. I know whenever somebody comes over to my house they always say something about the view so i decided to get on my roof and taka a picture. I am not expecting to get a high placement in this. PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR HONEST COMMENTS THESE WILL BE VERY HELPFUL!!!!! But you have to admit thats an awsome view to look out your window and see.

Yeah, what are we viewing? Your horizon is slanted and I can't tell if those are more hills or water. And your sky has the midtones way too saturated (see greenish cast and red and purple noise?)
I am not sure what time of day this was shot but it appears very hazy and dark which is a pity. Try the shot again at a different time of day where the trees are lit better. It appears to be generally underexposed which can happen if your camera selects the exposure for you as the large portion of sky will trick your camera's light meter into thinking there is more light than there really is. If you have the option try setting your camera to overexpose by one or two stops to avoid this. Also works when you are working with snow and large bodies of water in your shots. Hope this makes sense and that it helps.
