This was in the middle of nowhere. You can see the size of the car compared to the gorge. There was a collapse of the edge just recently which is the first one in the last century. Just in front of the car there is a large crack 3 meters in from the edge of the gorge that runs completely along one side. Another fall is imminent.
"Dead End - The Gorge" a perfect title for this shot, also this is one hundred percent meeting the challenge. What an amazing shot. I am so glad that you included the truck to show the perspective of how large the the gorge truly is. I know there have been comments about the truck. I think if it was not included I would have possibly question why this would be an dead end, except that the road ran out. I might have played with the contrast a little to see if you could bring some blue to the sky or possibly try a polarizing filter. Also I was surprised the truck wasn't close to the edge but after reading the description it makes complete sense. The lighting on the top of the cliff is very nice for the shot. Personally I am surprised you didn't finish higher, I think voters my have been looking for the drastic. I bet if you jumped the truck you would have a ribbon, just kidding. Great job on the photo!
