I got lucky snapping this shot at the local airshow. To get to where he is, this guy started out standing on top of an airplane. He then made several passes until the helicopter got close enough for him to grab the skid. Then he rode the skid up and down in front of the crowd for a little while. This shot was right before he was set down on the ground in the middle of the smoke.
As far as editing, it was pretty basic. Just adjusted the values of the raw image as I opened it in photoshop, then a little neatimage.
I hope it's busy enough for everyone.

This is like one of the those once in a lifetime image. The figure dangling and the fury of the clous swirls adds even more interest. Congratulations on your RED.
Well that's a heckuvashot! I'll be interested in reading the details on this one, just to see what on earth was going on here. Training exercise? Stunt show? Some guy got stuck to a helicopter? In any case, it's a 10 from me!
This was a wow photo. I know it is basic editing and you can't do any kind of burning or dodging, but I see the photo as you can edit it without restrictions, so I give it a 10.

Excellent catch! That person looks like he's just standing ther on air. Love the movement in the helicopter's blades. The picture looks "blown-out" overall, but it works somehow. One of the best in the challenge (IMO). (9)
holy cow - how awsome for you that you were able to capture this - and such a good capture at that, the smoke detail and coloring are really good and the entire crop or sizing aound the main image is great - good job!
Thats quite an amazing shot! I dunno if it says busy, but it does make me ask the question, what the heck is going on here?! Is the Chopper on fire? Where was the guy rescued from? Its got me busy asking questions:)
