thanks for the votes & comments - my highest finish yet. taken about an hour before deadline after a 6 pack...
i tried this concept two other times and failed. there is no reflection - the verticle glass is set on an inverted glass. the lighting is halogen shop lights below the glasses, aimed at a blue wall. these particular glasses actually sort of locked together in that position which made it easy compared to my previous efforts with different glasses - i was actually trying to counter weight the upper glass with water, sand, corn meal, a rock, among other things, and they all failed. the trick was using different glasses ;}
my gripe with it is the dark blotchy refraction to the lower left of the orange liquid. but i didn't notice until it was too late.

Very well composed, prepared and presented with that EddyG quality. Very good work, whoever you are. I am deeply impressed. Returning for another bump.
Balancing act indeed! I like it. Good colors and lighting, nice reflection on the stem and pleasing composition. Well done, and good luck in the challenge.
