The colors are wonderful here, the lighting is good but your focus is just slightly off.
As for meeting the challenge you do but when I first saw this I didn't understand what was going on til I read your comment. Since this isn't something that is available during challenges I think a lot of voters just didn't get it.
One thing you need to watch is the angle you take a photo at. As it is you have a stick sticking out of his head.
The stick in the background bothers me a lot. It looks like it is being stuck into the main subjects head. Were it not for that it would have scored much higher.
Great idea! Too bad about the pixelation, this looks like it was shot with a camera-phone. But you've really captured the concentration of some very delicate work. 6
