I was looking for something white to photograph and came across this Crucible. I like the idea of entering something hard and powerful in such a high key entry.
Most editing done in PS Bridge. Used Channel mixer to convert to B&W in PS. Added the border.

Thanks all for the comments and score. As someone (and my wife later pointed out), it's actually a mortar and pestle.
There were a few different versions. It was either dark with detail or light lacking the detail. That's why it looks soft. It was actually taken at f8, so it shouldn't be soft.
very nice work. subject is a little boring in comparison with some of the others and it isn't my favorite, but it is very well done as far as light balance and composition.
