Interesting shot except it needs to be a little more focused... :)

It's not focused enough. Deeper field of focus would make a photo work. At least thumb should be in focus.

Focal point fills the frame well. Including an adult hand or finger, or something else for scale would have helped convey your point. With a macro shot like this, clipping the fingernails is essential. Good use of depth of field, although there is some lost focus on the thumb. Overall, a decent shot -- good luck in the challenge.

saw this one coming a mile away. I feel the subject is perfect, but the delivery could have been a lot better.
