background lit with my new gel filter lighting attachment. the gladiola's are actually pure white--but are lit with my rainbow lightbulb to infuse them with color.

Pixelation in the background is really distracting. The flower looks half dead. It is really very sharp and exposed perfectly. This has the potential to be a winner, but for the reasons aforementioned, probably won't be.
Certainly a beautiful photograph. Lighting, clarity and colour are just brilliant. I love the blue background fading off into black. Very well composed and GL in this weeks challenge.
I'm not a big fan of flower shots in general, but I DO like them when they're well done! And this is indeed well done. I love the blue gradient in the background, and the softness of the light on the flowers. I can almost feel them. - 9
