The vignetting makes the mind close in on the statue and gives it a creepy feeling. Combined witht the toning it makes a wonderful exposure / balance, precisely what the subject needs.
The face looks like that of a child, innocent. The darkness closes in. What have I done wrong? You need a lot of inner strength for such situations. Perfectly presented.
