 strange thing this challenge, I usually take crappy pics but when I have to do it intentionally its blooming hard.

this is pretty underrated, but a little overgrainified. I dig it though and woulda given it an 8. Nice shot.

A very interesting attempt to do something with the grain, unlike many photos here which just look like regular photos with photoshop noise added

Well, I give you props for not being chicken with the grain. It's too bad in the way it was applied by the filter. Why for example, does the horizon to the right of the boat have two textures of grain? It looks the same to me tonally, it should have the same grain. The top 1/6th of the sky is the same. Otherwise the subject is an appropriate one for grain to enahnce.
