For me, I would have found this more intriguing if your photo had been cropped in more from the right hand side - almost right up to the main element. This would eliminate some of the background distraction, the green cord, the pale tan/pinkish flare, and off-centered your subject too. Shows creativity though, and that's always a good thing.
