Last Saturday I was on Volcano Etna... in a strange wood of "Betula"... I saw many trees with human faces... and many "eyes". I choose this one for the challenge.
The shadows seems like to draw a nose...

wow I love this shot, it is so human like...the background is lovely too,it doesn't distract you from the tree it compliments it. Adding to my favourtites.
The good: composition is excellent, focus is spot on.
To work on: I was wishing for an adjective with the face for the "personification". "The bored tree" or the like. This shows me the face, but doesn't give me much else to work with.
I cannot make a personification, either physical or emotional, out of this image. I see an interesting "eye" shape, but that's not enough to carry the feeling of a person communicating with me.
Excellent finding the face in that tree! Technically pretty good. Title somewhat lacking. Beaker from the muppets comes to mind LOL or Stoic, something about the emotion, not just labeling it a human tree :-)
I moved this photo to a 10. The only thing I would have changed would have been to crop out the "eye" at the very top!
Is this \"set-up\" in any way? ie: did you have to draw or \"chip\" anything into this tree to make it look human? Be honest and if is purely natural I will change my vote from a 6 to a 10. I know it is NOT against the rules to add someting or minipulate, but IMO I would rather it be natural.
Thanks,
