While your photo evokes feelings of sacrifice on the part of the brave soldiers, I'm not sure it fits within this challenge as I understand it. An admirable photo though.

This is getting literary, but I think the statue represents sacrifice, but doesn't personify it. Tough, I know. The crop is nice, but I'd have the flag in focus.
