When one is down and spirits are dampened one can always find a "drop of golden sun" even on the overcast of days. Those rainy & grey days can turn into Rainy Daisy Days if your forecast is to maintain a sunny outlook.
This is the Spring in a Seasons Collection. Merry Sunshine's Floral Charms is Summer.
Details:
30 yellow daisies & 20 yellow chrysanthemums were picked for this shot.
Thanks to my husband who helped toss the flowers up into the air several times for me to get this shot.
Thanks to my youngest child who put up with mommy wanting "just one more".
Thanks to my eldest for being there for the behind the scenes set-up even when it tested her patience.

Thanks to your very thoughtful comment on my green butterfly photo, I discovered this gem of an image. Every detail of this shot is magic: the beautiful field with a bit of a hill covered with wildflowers; the beautiful dress and parasol highlighted by the sun; the beautiful cloudy sky; and of course the joyful flowers in the air. You are amazing to have thought of this idea, and so talented to have brought your idea to life.
Wow, how have I missed this one! This is such an amazing happy photo, and I absolutely LOVE your work! ALL OF IT!
And I see I'm not alone, being the 53rd person to add this as a favorite :) Congratulations on shooting a flawless photo!!! And special kudos to your supportive family! Even the ones so young!
Chrystyne: this is indeed an energetic image that radiates the meaning of celebration and as such deserving of first honors. You are certainly entering the DPC arena with a great visual splash. Congratulations on your BLUE!
Congrats on the blue ribbon! This photo certainly made me smile! Now give your family a huge hug and let them see that all the frustration was worth it! :)
Bumping up to a 9. I think this meets the 'feel good' aspect of the challenge very well. Both for the viewer, and the subject! My only small criticism is the shadow around her arms and legs. But overall ths is a great well-balanced shot.
A really sweet photo. I love the composition and the brightly falling flowers. The lacy white umbrella is a nice touch too. Bumping up after second look. 8
Great idea and subject. Did you try any with the umbrella at the girl's back? I think a classic childhood smile here could really add emotion and impact to the image. As it is now, my attention is drawn more to the daisies, but I think it would be more powerful with the girl (and her facial expression) as the focus.
Oh, this is such a wonderfully creative idea, beautifully executed and one that deserves a high score. I'll bet this ends up in the "how did you do that" section. My only nit is that I think it might have worked just a bit better to have included the girl's face in the shot, especially if her expression were one of joyful excitement. But just the same, it's a well conceived image that should get a good number of votes~
A classic DPC-style image. Well conceived and cleverly executed ... artistically unprepossessing perhaps, but certainly technically competent. I wonder what Rainy Daisy Days are? It will score very highly of course. 6.
i like this idea. pretty rain of daisies. there's a tall grass that's blurred in the front that distracts a bit...could clone it out, probably. i love the creativity of this piece, the colors, and the composition. the backshot of the model with her hand up testing the rain is a great touch. the picture feels a bit bright, but very nicely done.
VEry nice! really makes you look back for those April showers. Would have liked just a touch more sharpness to the grass and flowers. Very good and should score up near the top Congrats.
WOW! this is a great image! cant wait to find out who u are. i love the falling daisys. only nit pick here is that tall blade of grass right behind the little girl. wonderful image 10!!! good luck and have a great day! :o) ~~Cher~~
Oh so darling! I hope to see this one ribbon, because it really fills the heart of "feel goods". Could have used a smidge more PP so bring out the colours but the imagery is just perfect!
