I don't care for the border, and the speck at 3 o'clock is distracting. The brown color cast accentuates the theme of the image. The contrast between the palate of the subject and the blue reflection feels somewhat odd. You may wish to check out this tutorial for info on removing or shifting the blue to a warmer color.
Good image, not sure if the back ground is suppose to be tanish or the white balance is off and should be white? I think a solid white background would had been better for me............meets the challenge
I am not really fond of borderl It does bring out your color scheme though. Would be interesting with just inner border. Would have been nicer with a little more light on spoon bowl imo.
such a nice composition! the warmth of the background color is getting picked up in the spoon, though, and the spoon's kind of melting into the background. for me, that detracts from the impact of the picture. and this simple, clean image deserves to just pop! : )
I almost said, I would have liked this if the background was true white but then I caught the border and thought, It's mocha tones. I hope this is what you were going for as that is the impression I get when I look at your great entry. Only flaw I can see is maybe some sensor dust in the middle right hand side of the shot.
Sweet. the colouring and border are great. That light coffee colour really works, especially where it is reflected in the handle and you held a fine DOF. The composition is a bit off , be interesting if you played around with some thirds options. I would suggest at least lowering the centre of the spoon to the horizontal thirds line. I'm goign to score it well, but there is probably another point in there yet.
