This is the same area from which I took my Destination shot. I don't think it's the same horse though. It is about a mile from our house. I am very suburban and then a mile away is lots with acreage and horses. He looked at me and held the pose. I thought that was so thoughtful of him. LOL
Thanks to all who voted and commented. Some people are purists and don't like the filtration that I adore. That's ok. I loved this shot whether it did well or not. I have a similar shot I'm going to put in my portfolio tomorrow.
Cropped, applied gothic glow, adjusted single saturation of red, adjusted curves.

What a beautifully serene shot. Great lighting and colors and you've captured the horse in a great pose. Looks like you've added just bit of a soft glow and I think it's very effective here.
I'm a sucker for a good dreamy kind of post processing, and this shot works really well with it. The curves of the horse and the lines of the tree are really well seen through the glow, and the tree frames the horse really well. The left side of the frame, though, seems kind of empty. Theres no tree and no horse, and those seem to be the main focus of the shot. I think with a little tighter crop this would be absolutly perfect!
Looks like I missed this one. I love it! And I definitely love the processing! A great finish in the challenge and looks like some ongoing recognition for this as well - congrats! As Tony the Tiger would say: "You're Grrrrrrreat!" :)
I just want to put on nothing but a white lace dress, let my hair down and go riding forever until i can't ride no more, when i look at this picture. Lol....lovely job.
great placing..Im so happy this did well, Im a big fan of horses, and I envy you for living around them. This horse looks great, although frail and the smooth tone to the photo always looks great with grass and trees.
I love this picture! I do love the filter that you used! This is truly a dreamy picture! Nicely done, and a great place, should have placed higher, but still a good placement!
I love this, Judy! Your ue of pp really emphasizes the misty beauty of this place and did wonderful things to your colors. Congratulations on a strong finish!
I didn't vote in this challenge, but this is a beautiful capture. I love the gothic glow. I don't think PSP has the option (darn). I've admired the effect in many a photo. Anyway, wow!
I really like this. It's got a great "feel" to it. It was super nice of that horse to hold the pose for you, but even nicer of you to photograph it and share it. Congratulations on the 13th place finish.
I like this but I went to get my glasses to see if it was in focus. Yes,k it is, but something about it makes me feel like it is not. Weird, perhaps it is my computer.
This isn't a bad shot but it feels very over-processed to me...I think it's the colors in the foreground that all seem to run together. Maybe it's just me but it feels like a painting more than a photo. The leaf in the upper right hand corner is pretty distracting, maybe try cropping it out?
