Wax is a good choice for liquid. Good composition, too. The wax itself is just a tad busy; I'm not sure what I"m looking at, but this is a great image. 9

The focus here is the flame, although it is surrounded by liquid (melted wax or cadle floating in water?) It is a busy composition - wish it has a little more cohesion.
