I like what you have been playing with here..very creative approach. Looks like you figured out the lighting thing...and that would be me only comment. Hope you keep up the creative playfulness.
[I'm new here I thought I can add my comments after the results are out, but anyway here it is:]
This is a mugful of beer in front of a big-screen TV which is by itself the only source of lighting. To eliminate the parts of the TV that go wider than the mug, cardboard pieces were used at the sides of the mug.
Didn't have enough time on my hands to execute the lighting as well as it should have been. But the idea is here and I'll try to make it happen in future.

For me, I would like to see a bit more definition of the glass/mug itself. Cool image and lighting. I'd like to know how you achieved this when the challenge is over.
