 For some reason, all of my favorite shots are of backlit silhoettes. I guess I like how backlighting simplifies subjects to the point of being iconic.

Anyway, all this took was rotation (since I took this while holding my camera at my side (I'm sneaky like that with candids)), crop, and levels--especially lowering the gamma value on the blues to turn concrete into gold.

Too bad there is such lens flare and spots from the sun. I like the shadows they cast.

If the shadows were the focus of this image like I think it was intended, the shadows need to be a bit more crisp.

Good concept, but the dark band through the middle of the picture kills it for me.
