out of the context of this challenge, I would not come to the conclusion that this is an image of bubbles. The blurred subject and bright hotspots also distract

My first initial reaction was that it looked like two egg yolks. For me, the thick black border is distracting from the photo.

I'm guessing this is a lava lamp? Aside from it meeting the challenge, there isn't much that makes it work for me. It's a good idea, though; and with a sharper focus, no glare and minus the overwhelming border, there is some potential.
