I know this aint gonna do well! will probably have to go into a "contestant protection program" and assigned a new usename...
Of course I dont think people "buy" ribbons or get them just coz of who they are...best one wins simple as that. Hope I dont put anyones nose out of joint, as its only meant to be a laugh, just some of the forum activity I've thought ridiculous lately, hope people stop their bitchin'
Shot last minute, printed out fake $200 bills off the net (got Dubya's face on!) and printed out some ribbons that I made before for my ill-fated "reaching for blue", put on my interview/wedding/funeral suit and roberts yours fathers brother.
Lighting was a nightmare, used onboard flash again, so did a bit of cloning and dodging to minimize the shadows, cropped it really tight for the same reason.
Hope it make more people chuckle than want to hunt me down and hurt me new and inventive ways...

Of course this is just my private and personal disposition but I strongly dislike selective desaturation except for a handful of cases so to be honest I deducted 1 point for that. Now for the real critique as that before was just my personal taste. It´s a good idea for a shot and executed pretty well, very fitting that the person with the ribbons is headless and the composition is good, perhaps just a little bit too tight for my taste to the right and left but good.
I like the idea, but somehow the extra saturation on the ribbons and the B&W of the rest of the picture makes them look like they are superimposed on the picture and not part of it (especially the blue). It's a weird illusion. 6
The only thing I'd suggest for this image is maybe tonight down the ribbons just a little. THe contrast is almost too much for me compared to the B&W and the subtle greens of the money.
Good take on the challenge! Technically sound, funny details (that is Bush, on the money, right?) and FINALLY some good use of selective desat again. Congrats!
