Conspiracy Theory. Did they actually land on the moon? Here is a photograph of the flag that was placed on the moon, this time with the stars turned on.

For me, if you were to just show me this photo and say, guess what this represents, I would not think of the word conspiracy. In that regards, it's difficult to know what you were thinking when you took this. If perhaps there was a faded moon in the background, it would have aided in the overall conspiracy effect.
I do like the angle and composition you choose. Some might not like the softness, but I think it works okay here. The faded blue adds to that softness, whereas a newer flag wouldn't have that same feel.
The lighting is also good and the solid black background keeps my attention and focus on your subject matter.
In the, "Did they land on the moon?" conspiracy, they mentioned something to the effect that the stars were missing from all of the photos. The flag was shot off the front of my house in an upwards angle very close up with the stars turned on this time.
Interesting perspective -- it's different, adds a bit of "new" to a subject that has been done a lot. The blue looks a little faded (old flag? bad monitor?) Nice shot, nonetheless.
You have created a staemewnt with your technical expertise that speaks well to me ... I wonder if you found a 'faded bit of glory' in an old flag or created it ? In either case this is so sad but true!
