Although I've lived in Toronto for 50 years now, I hadn't been to Centre Island in almost that long, until my husband and I decided to spend an afternoon there a few weeks ago. Centre Isand, by the way, is one of the small islands in Lake Ontario that are a 10-minute ferry ride from downtown Toronto. While we were crossing on the ferry, I realized that what I was seeing as I looked back was the best view of the city's skyline that I'd ever had. And, of course, I had my camera with me! The needle-like tower is Toronto's iconic CN Tower. The domed building is the Skydome stadium, where the Toronto Bluejays play.
