An equalizer is indicative of sound. So that much fits the challenge. Composition is nicely balances within the frame (but then again it *is* rectangular to start). The subject is unfortunately flat and not very interesting.
Sound modulation evokes sound. True. In terms of a picture, however, somewhat uninteresting. An electronic equalizer with a cool pattern or background would have made it more interesting.
