It may fall short of a portrait but wow what a nice shot. The composition is great everything flows so nice here. My eyes flow nicely from one side to the other. The colors are awesome here. Their contrast here is amazing. The blues clash so nice with the yellows and the way the yellow transitions to her red lips carrying the blue from the sky was very well done. Focus is great. You seemed to pick up her eye and the spill in a way that really holds the shot together. Lighting could have been toned down just a bit. The left side could have been a bit darker. It looks almost to be blown out. But that doesn't hurt the photo at all. It's still a very impressive shot.
All fabulous shots. My favorite by far. Great work and I don't believe for a second that a portrait is only a portrait if there are no other dominant elements. Look at Jack Nicholson, his famous portrait with the magnifying glass.
Thanks for the comments. I agree with you saying that this is more a fashion or glamour picture than a portrait. Anyway it's wasn't shot for the challenge and kinda last minute submit. I might post some details later but here are some more shots.

THE and I mean THE most original shot in this challenge IMHO. Where do I start? Sexy, fun, creative, THIS PICTURE ROCKS! Love the contrast! This HAS to make it in the top 3! 10, 10, 10!!!!
This reminds me of one of those liquor ads where the person's wild side is shown through the bottle. You don't quite have all of her "wild side" seen through the syrup but it's still looks cool.
Lying down, under a glass with a puddle on top? Clever - and even more clever if I'm wrong. I have gone away and come back without voting on this one repeatedly. Partly, I needed to see/understand how it was shot, and also I'm still debating the idea of calling this a portrait. But this is DPC and if I want to call myself an artist, I think I need to leave the box from time to time - as you have done here.
Nice job.
Good job on this photo. I like the sharpness, simplicity, and blends of color - especially where the yellow syrup turns green with the blue background and the contrasting blue of the background and the red of the toungue and lips. The only negative thing I would say is that I keep getting distracted by her hair on the lower-left corner of this picture. It seems to "dead" in comparison to the liveliness of the rest of the photo. Other than that, nice job.
Ja-heeezuz! This absolutely rocks and kills all competition. I have an idea as to who this may be and let me tell you this is absolutely astounding and a blue for sure. I'm speechless here this is top notch work and is just... wow... 10+++
This is a really cool image with lots of style but not quite what I consider a portrait... too commercial for me in this challenge... otherwise, great jobn,,, :)
Love this. The harsh lighting and the brassy, high-key feel is terrific, and is also a welcome relief. It's a very pop-art kind of image. Good, original thinking! 8.
Outstanding! Interesting and original concept. Well executed. Primary color thing is awesome. Beautiful model and the makeup is spot on.
Ding ding ding ding....we have a winner!
To me, a good portrait reveals something about its subject (the person or animal). This shot is more about the special effects than the person. I don't like the lighting either
Wow! Absolutely sensational, could be from an advert for a major company (I mean that in the most positive way, as in this is VERY professional. Very sexy indeed the way it is done, and the technical aspects are excellent. 10+ Has to be a ribbon!
