I was going to submit another photo (much "safer"), but 30mins before i desided to take a risk with this one. I love the sharpness and colors, so I hope it does ok.

Thanks everyone! My friend woke up at 7:30 for me to take photos for this challenge because the ones from the previous day weren't the best 9 and I wanted to try some new things). The skin came out very "soft" because i used my macro lens which focused on the eyes and lips and slightly blurred her skin :). Will post my "safer" outtake ;)
Oh and yes thats the real color of her eyes, no contacts :)

Loved this image during the challenge and love going back to it time and time again. The beautiful eyes and lips, the soft skin, a perfect image of a very lovely lady.

I knew you would ribbon...My only question is why were you third instead of first? your model is becoming really famous here on this site, you have the best looking one thats for sure...the sharpness is great here...nothing much I can say that your picture can't say. congrats.

The eyes, without question.. And still a very pretty model entirely. I think I see a little over-sharpening in her hair. But not much, and not a distraction.

I'm not giving 10s to portraits with a lot of "angel effect" because I don't really prefer it. However, this portrait is excellent. Her eyes are sharp as a tack and the portrait captures her very well. The post-proccessing isn't too heavy and among the best of that genre. 9
The dark in the bottom right corner isn't quite working for me though, it seems to detract a bit... Maybe a lighter top / Skin or a tighter crop.. Still a stunning headshot. 8
elsapo? Your beautiful model came through beautifully. Imperfections: one hair above the right eye; right edge of the photo has some noise that could have been either cloned or curved-out.
Now, I know who you are because of your beautiful "Tapanga" model. She is so capturing! If she isn't in modeling yet... get her there. Her eyes are priceless and your use of color to contrast them is great
I find the detached feeling of the head a little disconcerting but it's nothing more than a minor gripe in an otherwise compositionally fantastic shot!
The pretty model, however, doesn't hurt!
The eyes look a little overprocessed as does the skin, but that's how things are done, I guess. A little oversharpened as well. I think your post-processing let you down a little bit because you may have got carried away...the eyes look a little fake. I think with more subtle processing this could have been a 9 or 10 - as it stands, though...a 7 from me.
those eyes are mesmerizing. what a lovely model. not overdone or understated. i keep going between a 9 and 10 on this image and I think its due to the bottom being so dark on my monitor that it doesn't register anything and it appears her head is bodiless. i know it might just be my monitor or that might be what you were going for I just can't decide. the only other minus was due to the stray hair in her eye and for this challenge it could've been cloned out easily.
You can't go wrong with her. :-) This is lovely. Coloring is great, eyes amazing, nice composition and lighting. My only peeve on this particular shot is the her skin. If it's that way naturally than I'm just soooo completely jealous! :-) Great job. 9

Beautiful, I like it, the only comment I have is that probably the black blouse was not the best choice, makes it look like a suspended head, and it is verry hard to distinguish there is a body attached to it. But the portrait is verry beautiful and expressive.
see, Justin, this one, in my opinion is *much better* than your high contrast shot as here you are showcasing those amazing eyes and her stunning features (although, what do I know, you still placed much higher than I did in the last challenge...) I love the tight crop here. on;y minor nit pick is the stray hair in her left eyebrow.
Very nice. The eyes are wonderful. I recognize this model and she is super photogenic! The brassy hair with the dark brows is a tad harsh for me. The skin tones seem awfully pale for such dark brows and lashes. Still a stand out amongst others.
i remember her from the high contrast challenge...so unbelievably striking...gave you a 10 in high contrast...giving a 10 here...the color in the eyes is amazing....you're very lucky to have a model so beautiful and photogenic...GREAT shot!
