Challenge done. Lets just say I totaly disagree with the score recieved! (color) portrait is supposed to show something about the persons personality, why you want the subjects photo. This IS ME! Im fun, sometimes a bit " childish" (but in a great fun way) Im colorful(personality wise) I almost always have a smile to share but I am a bit of a skeptic(per the look)
One commenter said" hairstyle is a bit childish for a grown woman"....ummm hunny....just because your over 30 doesnt mean you cant have any fun.
Thank you to the other commenters: I agree that this photo is too red but i had a blast laughing at myself doing all the self portraits for this challenge. self portraits are extreamly hard and i have learned that being "goofy" or humorous photos do not go well here and i will try to restrain my self from any humour/goofyness in the future for the sake of my score. I would love to get a ribbon and i have learned a valueable lesson this challenge besides "too much red".
HUMOUR=BROWN

You go girl! :) You did better than me! I just don't recommend trying to calibrate your monitor before doing the next challenge. Otherwise, you'll get this! :)

And hey ... I'm always one for goofyness! Just check out MY stuff!
The necklace is slightly distracting because it is so white. I like your pose, your eyes are in good focus and the lighting is well done except for the back of your hair kinda fades away a little dark. I am assuming this is smilebig4me1x, self portraits are never easy to take and you did a good job here.
I don't know if it's my monitor, but the skin tones seem overly red (or magenta). I like the solid black background and the look on her face makes me smile.
Cher, this is really cute and it does look "just like you!" I can see your skills as a photographer developing over time. Very well done. I might suggest to work on the eyes a tiny bit more to remove the red, but that could also be enhanced by this crappy monitor I have at work so ignore me. ;) Anyway, great shot. :)
Too much red tones in your models skin. Could be the reflection from the shirt. Hairstyle seems a bit too childish for a grown woman. Pose is a tad awkward also. Your light is good though.
the angle of the eyes spoil this for me, the eyes should follow the direction of the feace, there should be equl amount of white each side of the eye for a balanced effect . 5
