There needs to be, IMO, a definitive focal point. Yes, the branches meet the challenge; however, the sun is my current focal point, and I think there should be something else to draw my eye... especially given how bright the sun is.

I feel that the lighting is working against you on this. There are areas of the photo that looked washed out.
