Greetings from the Critique Club. Nice job photographing this delicate branch. You've chosen a composition with a strong diagonal line wich helps to give the image impact. The lighting is soft which also adds to the overall impact of the image. However, I do feel the image is a bit dark on the bottom of the first and last lantern. I don't think another light source is necessary, but perhaps a reflector to gently add light to those areas. Still, lovely image overall.
I really like this picture. It's simple and interesting. The composition is pretty good and your idea is creative and original. I think you did a good job. :P
Now why didn't I think of this?!? My mother has these all over her house! Although I'm sure I couldn't have done it the justice that you have here. Absolutely magnificent job. Composition, lighting, tones, focus are all superb. Kudos...
This is a stunning example. The light and the delicate pods hanging from the single branch is wonderfully captured. The tonality of the fall colors of gold and deep brown with a hint of green are stand outs against the black. I like that it leads your eye up and back down. Best of the buch I've seen so far. 10
Well, I am biased because I love these little guys and what a perfect portriat for them! Great lighting, not too colorful or bright... just right. I love the focus and compositon and think this is great.
