This image is very pretty. It has a great color range, is in focus, has a good depth of field. I think the composition is a little static (flat) as it is a straight on shot with a centered composition. Both can work well in an image but the image would need something more to have tension. The black border contains the image well and I don't feel it overwhelms.

Monarchs are always so nice to shoot. This one seems to be a failrly basic shot not having anything to set it apart from any others. Not to take anything from the shot it is still beautiful. Very nice

I'm not a fan of butterflies, but I like the contrasting colors you captured. For me, just an overall nice photo with good composition and focus. Well done.
