I like this picture so much. It depicts some kind of reflection on life and what it takes on us to view life. The green leaf shows that amidst the turmoil happening around us-there could be hope.
Congratulations tjkaer!

I tried to post this during the challenge, but obviously failed.
I just wanted to say that after looking at some 400+ pictures that were mosly tree canopies, I really loved the simplicity of this shot. The tone and color are beautiful.

I love how the branch feels like it's floating with the coloration of the background water...it's almost "invisible" feeling color wise. The branch sits there gracefully and poised. Beautifully executed.

8 - Very nice and simple beauty. Water looks mirrored and calm. Criticism; difficult, maybe more 'empty space' in one of the corners, not sure. Perhaps sharper on the tip of the branch, but I think the focus is on the reflection, so might not have worked as well as what you have achieved. Nice soft lighting, A touch more color, whether in those leaves, or the incorporation of sunrise/set, may have added a little 'drama', but the simplicity is very nice as is. Not sure on the frame.
