This simple pic has good composition. I like the background it's not plain, ie. all one colour, but it's not cluttered.

Cropped too tight. A portrait shot including the laces and the line with space below the shoes would be better. Maybe an empty sky would make a better backdrop too, since those bushes add nothing to the idea or composition.
