This took some thought and some work. A bit hard to see the shoes .The tree isn't very inviting compositionally, but it shows you put out an effort.

Really fun idea. I wish that there were more shoes, and that they stood out more, however.

To me this feels very snapshoty. The red leaves are the pretiest part of the tree - be careful not to let the sky blow them out.

Good idea, but the many branches don't give the shoes of standing out - the eyes can't focus anywhere, there is no composition. 4.

I saw a couple of these in the competition so far, and not being american had to do a bit of googling to discover the meaning. A charming subject now I understand, but a shame the shoes themselves aren't the focus of the shot. Maybe taking the shot from a different position would remove the overexposure caused by the sky on the right. The composition could be a bit better also. Take the 'negative space' around the shoes. Some have plenty of space around them while the pair bottom right are jammed uncomfortably into the corner.

that tree eats a lot of shoes. perhaps a more dramatic angle? less bright sky...shoot at night lit by a flash light?

i feel when you have an object that is suppose to be the subject.. you shouldnt have to search for it.

The sky is overexposed and it's a little overexposed. Adjust the contrast to add color and epth in this image.
