This picture is cropped too tightly. This is most noticeable with the left boot being cut off and very little of the hat showing.

Neat idea! I'd suggest not such a tight crop though. It took me a little to figure out the cowboy had hanging on the corner. I think if more of it was there it would add to your overall composure. This way it's more of a distraction and some may not take a close/long enough good look at it without dismissing it.

The strange crop bothers me. Either back off and lt's see the boots and hat, or go in much tighter and go for the texture up close.
