Although the original picture was predominantly black and white anyway, I still went with tweaking levels and curves to remove any colour, since it made the texture and speckled pattern of the paint the prominent feature of the image.

Composition is very well done but the black(pants?)and paint spots on the left are a big distraction from the shoe. I do like the lighting on the shoe.great use if natural light here as the shadows created the interest here and didnt make it "just another shoe photo" this is a nice image with the B&W tones but I think it would have had more impact and WOW factor if it had been left in color and allowed the paint to create the "wow" to this image. your focus is good but i think a round of sharpening in post processing would have helped.Excellent job and keep up the good work. have a great day :o)
If you have any questions feel pree to PM me and i will help any way i can.
Lighting is good, I Ibelieve it would have been better to see a little more shoe becasue if the title hadn't told me what the subject was it wouldn't have been interesting.
This picture is interesting, and you can see alot of detail on the shoe. (Is that a sock next to a shoe?) The lighting is good too. I don't think you need to improve anything.
